What if we took all the money that is going to save the big businesses and instead used it to help the average person facing foreclosure? By making it so they were able to make their payments and stay in their houses, this would save the loans from going into default and so the big guys would get their money, people would be able to stay in their homes, home values would start to rise again, and the country might come out of this a lot quicker and in a much better financial position than it is now.
